McCarthy, Inc. has been providing quality services and products throughout the Southeast since 1955.

McCarthy, Inc., located in Savannah, Ga., specializes in supplying metal doors and frames; wood doors, which consist of architectural –grade flush doors; as well as custom style and rail units; complete builder’s hardware; and a myriad of specialty items such as toilet partitions, signage, louvers and toilet accessories.

Thomas Nugent McCarthy began the business in October 1955, after serving as vice president of a regional building supply company – Neal Blun Company. At first, Tom sold a variety of products to provide for his young family, including steel casement windows, cabinet hardware and even swimming pools. Tom’s second oldest son, Cody, joined the company in 1972, while his youngest son, Kevin, followed in 1980. Since Tom’s untimely death in 1986, the company has been under the leadership of Cody as president and Kevin as vice president. From its meager beginnings, McCarthy, Inc. has grown significantly with a staff of 18 and impressive revenues of more than $6 million annually.

“We provide services and products for all types of buildings,” says Cody McCarthy, president of the company, “including churches, hospitals, schools, high-end residences and even five-star hotels, such as the Cloister Hotel at Sea Island, Ga. Our staff of employees draws on a combined 100-plus years of experience to assist the client to meet their individual needs.” This wealth of knowledge, along with access to continued industry educational opportunities, allows McCarthy, Inc. to provide services that are current with today’s ever changing building codes.

McCarthy, Inc. works closely with architects, engineers and interior designers to develop schedules and specifications that are project specific. We employ three architectural hardware consultants (AHC) who are knowledgeable in code and egress requirements needed in today’s construction industry.

McCarthy, Inc. offerings encompass security access solutions and the installation of these systems. This would include sophisticated hand and retina scanners as well as more familiar systems, such as card readers. “We feel it only makes sense that if we are supplying the door, frame and hardware, we should complete the opening by supplying security for it, if desired by the owner,” says Cody McCarthy.

Our company offers services and products from the beginning of the project through its completion. McCarthy, Inc.’s goal is to develop a lasting relationship with all members of the project team to ensure the utmost satisfaction by all parties when the project is complete.
